Should I have my Engine Swapped or Rebuild? 1999 Ford Escort?

the belt has slipped.if you buy a book for it there will be instructions how to check it.autozone.com may have instructions online.i think the 99 has a non interference eng.(valves wont hit if the belt brakes.)but yours only slipped.
