What do you do in this situation?

i have this friend he is the perfect man we have been dating for a long time about 10 months and we act like a couple but we are not we are very very close friends but anyways he has told me he have feelings for me and i have told him and my mom kow about my feeling to i am in head over hills in love with this guy and i dont think he feels the same about me...my mom says that i should just tell him how i feel and what ever happens happens kinda thing but i so afriad of getting hurt........i have even fussed out 2 of my best friends for him am i wrong for doing this??? help me i dont know wut to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...
